Sliding Scale / Pay-What-You-Can
Why Give? Why We Offer Sliding Scale
Caz is serious about accessibility. We know this experience isn't equally affordable for every family, and we don't want cost to be the reason someone can't come. At the same time, we have real costs - we feed up to 500 people over two weeks, house everyone on site, and bring together an extraordinary team of teaching artists. We fundraise for scholarships and financial assistance, and our sliding scale model helps us bridge the gap and keep camp sustainable for everyone.
How to Think About Your Amount
To give you a sense of what's behind the numbers: a single adult registration is $1,373, a youth is $1,100, and on-site housing averages $550. Even at the top of our sliding scale, families are receiving meaningful financial support - and we're genuinely glad to offer it.
For families or groups of 2, our suggested sliding scale range is $500 - $1,500.
For families or groups of 3 or more, our suggested sliding scale range is $500 - $2,500.
At the higher end - You're covering a larger portion of your costs and helping offset what others cannot contribute.
In the middle - You're attending with some support from the community and our fundraising.
At the lower end - You're attending with significant support, made possible by others who can give more.
There's no formula for where you land, and none of the amounts listed are expectations, just transparent suggestions.
And, no matter the amount, your family receives housing and 3 catered meals per day.
